Seaside Pediatrics
Seaside Pediatrics is a doctor's office for children under the age of 18 years old. The space is to have exam rooms, offices, a laboratory, pharmacy, counseling center, and sanitary station.
The goal of this doctors office is to utilize universal design so that all people can access, enjoy, and easily pass through the space. Since Seaside Pediatrics is a doctor's office for children the design needs to be light hearted. Abstract design elements, such as ceiling patterns and textiles/materials will be reminiscent of the ocean, providing interest for the children without appearing childish or themed.
Color, and organic patterns and shapes will create a light, child friendly design. Those elements will also establish unity throughout the entire doctors office. Angled architectural elements will provide directional cues, as well as contrast to the organic shapes and patterns.
