Next Office
The Next Office is a new office environment that supports a variety of members working on different tasks in a shared environment. The goal of the space is to create a workplace that promotes collaboration and activity, is innovative and fun, and supports health and wellness of its occupants. Acoustic solutions, maximum natural light, and harmonious design among the spaces will create a comfortable, healthy environment. Integration of different spaces will support interaction and communication.
Edges are points of contrast. They are defined places of interest, in nature and in architecture. This new office space balances the formality of work and the comfort of flexibility. I was inspired by the idea of finding the edges of the space and balancing forms around it. Contrasting colors, clean lines, dynamic textures, and directional cues will create the edges providing interest for the mind and promoting movement of the body. A stimulating and active environment will help productivity.
The physical environment can also greatly support social interaction. Relationships and connections between people can improve overall health. The sharing of knowledge raises the quality of work and promotes the social wellness of the workers.
