Lauren's Story

As a young girl I was encouraged to explore my creativity. I tried sewing and painting, jewlery making and creative writing, embroidery and drawing. When I discovered interior design I was hooked. When I found out I could make it my career I was ecstatic.
I graduated from Marymount University in May of 2016 with a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design and a minor in Sustainability. I am looking forward to finding my place in the interior design industry and sharing my creativity and innovative ideas. I am presently working as an intern interior designer at Leo A Daly.
Marymount has opened many doors for me. I came down to Virigina from a small town in Connecticut. During my four years in college I swam on the varsity swim team and had the opportunity to tavel abroad for studies. I participated in and became president of Interior Design Alliance. I also worked as an AutoCad/Revit tutor and visual intern at Anthropologie. For eight months I worked and an interior design intern at Cooper Carry Inc. and I am currently working, full time, as an intern interior designer at Leo A Daly.
Outside of work I like to try new fitness activities such as crossfit and yoga. I enjoy reading, traveling, and baking treats. I love puppies and mint chocolate chip ice cream and I enjoy adding to my handbag and shoe collection.
